Howdy Maria-Ana!
Thanks for dropping by
planDisney with your question! Yee-haw you must be excited to have your adventure in
The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort just around the riverbend! Surrounded by the beautiful pine and cypress forests and nature trails, all while staying in the heart of
Walt Disney World, you will have the best of both worlds: outdoor adventure and the magic of Disney.
It would be my pleasure to help lasso an answer for you about the use of fire pits and bonfires at your campsite. I had to put in a call to Guest Services to ensure that I had accurate information for you. What I discovered is that you can make use of personal fire pits when camping at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, but fire pits must have a solid metal top design that prevents exposed flames and the release of sparks or embers, so the mesh top would likely not be allowed. If you do an internet search using the terms “Disney’s Fort Wilderness Approved Fire Pits” and look at images, you will likely encounter the flyer that is distributed by Cast Members at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort showing pictures of the fire pits that are both approved and unapproved.
I hope that this information helps you to better prepare for your upcoming vacation in
The Most Magical Place on Earth! Please remember that you’ve got a friend in us here at
planDisney, so stop back by any time we can help answer your vacation questions.
