We are heading to DW 1/27. Last year we were able to use a snack for Funnel Cakes at Epcot, I think near the American pavilion using a snack credit. Does a snack still work for one? I think we also did it somewhere in HWS as well. Thanks!!

Hi Becky, Funnel cakes are the absolute best, aren't they? So much crispy, crunchy, greasy goodness. Yum! The funnel cake snack credit situation is a little complicated. There are several places that sell funnel cakes at Walt Disney World. At some of them you can get a cake for a snack credit, at some of them you can't. To make matters worse, the situation has changed several times. To the best of my knowledge, the stand near the American Adventure pavilion at Epcot does NOT accept snack credits for funnel cakes. However, Sleepy Hollow snacks near Liberty Square in the Magic Kingdom does accept snack credits for funnel cake, but only for the plain and sugared versions, not for cakes topped with fruit or ice cream. I have heard ocassional reports that kind or unsuspecting cast members will sometimes allow guests to use a snack credit for the more embellished version, but this is not the norm. When paying out of pocket, the Epcot funnel cakes cost about $6.00, while the Magic Kingdom funnel cakes cost about $5.00. I've had them both several times and have never noticed a difference between the two. In addition to Epcot and the Magic Kingdom, funnel cakes are sold at a stand near the Festival of the Lion King show in Animal Kingdom, at the Oasis Canteen at Hollywood Studios, and at the funnel cake kiosk at the Boardwalk Resort, as well as at stands at Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. Happy eating!
