We are heading down with our 3 1/2 yo and 1 1/2 yo. Which is a better stroller option? A double stroller or 2 light weight strollers (both will recline, have a canopy and a storage basket). We would have to rent a double stroller, but we have 2 small one.

    Hi Kevin!

Congratulations on your Walt Disney World vacation!  This is a great question. As a mom of four children including a set of twin boys, my family has navigated the theme parks using two single strollers and with a double stroller. We loved traveling with our lightweight single strollers that featured a reclining position, canopy and storage basket. While we preferred using the double stroller when the twins were toddlers, we felt two single strollers worked better as they got older and heavier. We primarily used two single strollers with my older two children, which are three years apart in age. During our visits, one child would often fall asleep while the other remained awake. Having two strollers ensured the sleeping child could get his entire nap in, rather than being awakened by his sibling. We also found that the single strollers were much easier to navigate in crowded areas.

On the other hand, traveling by bus was somewhat challenging with two strollers. My husband would have to fold both strollers and load them, while I carried the children and bags onto the bus. That being said, I would recommend  bringing your own strollers from home. You will love being able to use them both inside and outside of the theme parks.

I hope this helps in making the best decision for your family. Please don't hesitate to stop by again with any additional questions that may arise. Best wishes for a magical trip, Kevin!

    Happy Travels,
