Hi, We are heading to Disneyland and staying at the Disneyland Hotel at the end of August to celebrate our daughter's 10th birthday. Should I let the hotel know this before we get there? There was no where to mention it when I booked online.

    Hello Caroline,

Your adventure is awaiting you at the Disneyland Resort. Thank you for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

Celebrating a birthday at the Disneyland Resort is the best! You’re going to love staying at the Disneyland Hotel too! The decor has a new motif in honoring the yesteryear of the original hotel. The Guest rooms feature headboards with a carving of Sleeping Beauty Castle skyline with fiber-optic "fireworks." You are fine to either call beforehand or let the Cast Member know about your daughter’s special day when checking in. The Cast Member will ask you if you are celebrating anything special during Check In.

You could spread some extra pixie dust to your room by having a magical surprise waiting in the room for the birthday princess! You can order an “In-Room Celebrations” through a Disney Dream Maker, they will come to your Disneyland Resort Hotel room and decorate. You can visit www.disneyfloralandgifts.com or call Disney Floral & Gifts at 714-781-4438 to discuss a magical order.

For another magical moment on the big day, you can order a personalized birthday cake if you're dining at select table service restaurants. Call the Disney cake number at (714) 781-3463 to discuss your options. They will need at least 72 hours notice prior to your magical date.

I hope this is helpful. If you have any more questions please write me back on how I can help you plan your pixie-dusted vacation.

Remember to "Let It Go" and have a Fairy Tale time at the Disneyland Resort!
