Hi there, Amanda!
California Grill at
Disney's Contemporary Resort is known for its top-notch location and the panoramic views from the 15th floor of the resort, making it one of the best places at Walt Disney World for watching the
Happily Ever After fireworks. To me, however, the food is the star of the show here, and I appreciate that the menu occasionally rotates, featuring seasonal ingredients. I always look forward to seeing what new creations the chef has come up with as well as timeless old favorites.
Since California Grill is considered a Signature Dining Experience, it requires two Table-Service entitlements per Guest on the Disney Dining Plan. Each
Disney Deluxe Dining Plan meal from a Signature Dining restaurant includes:
1 Appetizer
1 Entrée
1 Dessert
1 Non-alcoholic Beverage (or Alcoholic Beverage, for Guests 21 and older)
You are welcome to order any of the entrées on the dinner menu, regardless of the cost, and this includes the indulgent 21-Day Dry-Aged Prime Kansas City Strip Steak. My personal recommendations are the Grilled Pork Tenderloin with deliciously creamy goat cheese polenta and the popular Oak-fired Filet of Beef. The restaurant also offers excellent sushi. On our recent visit, my husband and I split the Tuna Three Way sushi as an appetizer. I've heard reports that Guests can sometimes substitute an item from the Hand-rolled Sushi menu for their entrée, but I'd recommend checking with your server first if you decide to do this. The Warm Valrhona Chocolate Cake is my favorite way to treat myself at the end of this special meal.
Bon appétit, Amanda!
