Hi, we're heading to Disney World in August and have rented a Polar Patio at Blizzard Beach for our arrival day. We also have the Disney Dining Plan. Is it possible to order food to the patio using dining plan quick service credits? Thank you!

    Hiya Caitlin,

Welcome to planDisney! We are thrilled that you are here and that soon you will be visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth! I’ll let you in on a little secret: Last year was one of my first experiences at Blizzard Beach with my children, and it was because of the water park's check-in day. My Frozen-obsessed toddler loved Tike’s Peak, and it really was an incredible way to kick off our magical vacation.

Speaking of jumpstarting your vacation on the right foot, I love that you'll be enjoying a Polar Patio at Blizzard Beach. That sounds practically perfect in every way! While I have used my dining plan credits for snacks at Blizzard Beach before, Caitlin, I haven’t tried to use them through a Polar Patio attendant. Luckily, I was able to chat with a Cast Member on the Enchanting Extras line to learn more. They helped me do a little digging and found that while attendants can take your food and beverage order for you, Polar Patio attendants currently cannot use your quick service meal credits for those orders. If you want to redeem your quick service credits (or snack credits), you will have to either go to one of the dining locations or mobile order through your My Disney Experience mobile app. This is subject to change however so it doesn't hurt to confirm with your attendant when you check-in.

I hope this was helpful, Caitlin. As you continue planning, please come back and see us if you need anything. We would be happy to help. Before I let you go, have you ever used the mobile ordering feature with the dining plans? It is actually really easy, and since I have two toddlers and prefer to avoid lines, it is always my preferred way to get quick service. When you open your My Disney Experience mobile app, click the plus button in the bottom center of the app. Click “Order Food” and filter by “Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park.” Select the location you want to dine at, the pickup time, and add your food to your cart (make sure to add both the entrée and the drink if you plan to redeem a quick-service meal). Before you check out, the app will ask if you want to redeem your quick-service meal (as long as you have both an entrée and a drink). Once you confirm, your order will be placed, and you will have redeemed your credit!

    Happy Planning,
