Hiya Harriet,
Welcome to planDisney! I’m a mom of a picky toddler, so we are often trying to balance finding a restaurant with items she likes with making sure we can visit our must-try places. All this to say, I completely understand and am happy to do a little digging for you.
Garden Grill Restaurant is so good, by the way. We love the revolving restaurant, and my littles loved interacting with Chip ‘n’ Dale! The cinnamon roll monkey bread was a hit even with my picky toddler, and since she is a fan of all Mickey-shaped food, she was a huge fan of the Mickey-shaped waffles. I understand that your children are more fans of pancakes than waffles; however, I did ask a Cast Member about
menu changes since pancakes are not traditionally offered at Garden Grill. While it never hurts to ask the Cast Member when you are seated if pancakes can be served, there are no guarantees that they can be accommodated. In fact, the Cast Member I spoke to said it was highly unlikely that Garden Grill could accommodate that request. If I were you, I would prepare for pancakes not to be included, since they most likely won’t be, and to be on the safe side.
I know this was not the news you were hoping for, Harriet, but I hope it was still helpful. I hope that you still choose to dine at Garden Grill because it really is so yummy. However, if you are looking for places that serve pancakes but still have a character dining touch, then check out
Tusker House Restaurant at Animal Kingdom,
1900 Park Fare at Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, or
Cape May Café at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. These are three of my favorite places to dine with my kids because there are so many options to choose from. Prince Charming and I get to enjoy the food that we love, and we get to avoid the inevitable toddler meltdowns because they have something they love to choose from! If there is anything else you need, Harriet, please come back and see us. We would be happy to help you have the Most Magical vacation ever!
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
