Hi Moms! Heading to Disney in 2weeks! I hear the DDP has expanded the snack items offered. Could you elaborate on some of the snacks that will now be covered under the DDP? Also, I see that the resort mugs are now included. Will we get these at check in?

    Hi Julie,

You can pick up your refillable mugs at the Food Court or Quick Service dining venue at your resort. Just bring the mugs up to the register with your Key to the World Card (room key) and they'll have a record of your mug entitlement.

There are a wide variety of snacks offered throughout the parks and resorts that qualify for a snack credit on the Disney Dining Plan. These include basics like a bottle of water or soda, a piece of fruit, a scoop of popcorn, or a frozen novelty treat. Beyond that there are literally hundreds of different snacks scattered around the parks. Keep an eye out for a small purple and white checkerboard symbol. This indicates that the item is available as a snack credit purchase.

Some of my favorite snack credit items include: cupcakes, Dole Whip, zebra domes at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, kaki gori shaved ice at Epcot, beignets at Port Orleans French Quarter, churros, fudge, and egg rolls.

Keep and eye out for the purple and white checkerboard symbol and you never know what you'll find!
