Hi Kristen!
Welcome to planDisney! First and foremost…happy early birthday! What a fun way to celebrate!
The
Hours & Events Calendar will update with all park hours, parades, and nighttime spectacular showtimes about two months in advance. Of course, these times are always subject to change, so I like to look at the hours as my trip gets closer, as well.
Happily Ever After has been a staple at Magic Kingdom, so there’s a good chance you’ll be able to see it during your trip! It’s good to note that Happily Ever After and the new
Starlight parade will not be shown on nights when Magic Kingdom hosts
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, though.
So, if Happily Ever After is a high priority for you, I recommend visiting on a night that the park doesn’t close early for the holiday party. In December this year, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will take place on the following dates: 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, 19, and 21.
If you’re looking for an extra special way to celebrate your birthday and see Happily Ever After, I can’t recommend the
Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Party enough! Not only will you get a great view of the fireworks without having to stake out your spot super early, but you’ll also get to enjoy some delicious desserts and drinks.
If that’s something you’re hoping to do, make sure to book your reservations in advance (pending availability), as the dessert parties are popular! Your booking window for
Enchanting Extras opens 60 days prior to your resort check-in date if you’re staying at a
Disney World resort. If you’re staying off property, your booking window will open 60 days prior to the date you’re hoping to go to the dessert party.
I hope that helps! If you have any other questions as you continue to plan, feel free to come back and visit us!
