    We are heading to Disney in December. We first booked AK and I read a ton of reviews about transportaion. I now have changed to The Wilderness Lodge. Good move??? We have stayed at Club level Wilderness the last two stays.

    Welcome to the Mom's Panel, Annemarie!  December is my favorite time of year to visit Walt Disney World! I love experiencing all of the Holiday Happenings while admiring the beautiful decorations adorning the parks and resorts! In fact, last December my family vacationed at Disney's Wilderness Lodge and absolutely loved it!  It doesn't get any better than sitting by the lobby fireplace and admiring the beautiful, yet enormous Christmas tree. Although I do love Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and have stayed there as well on numerous vacations, I personally prefer Disney's Wilderness Lodge. We loved being able to take the motor launch (water taxi) to Magic Kingdom and not solely rely on the bus transportation to every park. If you anticipate spending a good bit of time at Magic Kingdom, then I would definitely recommend keeping your reservation at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. I hope this helps!
