Heading to BW villas, and the helpful agent on the phone said that we could use the monorail to get to the MK. Since BW is not on the monorail, did she mean that we could hop on it after the brief walk to Epcot? Is that possible (and logical)? Thanks!!

Hi Lauren! The Boardwalk is such a fun and convenient place to stay at Disney! You're right that the Boardwalk Resort is not on the monorail line, so I think the agent must have been thinking you could walk to Epcot to board the monorail to travel to the Magic Kingdom. While that is possible, it's not the quickest way to reach the Magic Kingdom. Although Epcot is a short walk from the Boardwalk, you have to walk quite a bit further to reach the front of the park where the monorail station is located. Then you'll have to switch trains to reach the Magic Kingdom. When you factor in your time spent walking, waiting for the monorails, and the actual transit time, the trip to Magic Kingdom could easily take an hour. If you catch the bus from the Boardwalk Inn directly to the Magic Kingdom, you'll be there in only 15-20 minutes, which I think makes the bus the more "logical" option.

Hope you have a magical vacation!
