Disney’s BoardWalk Inn and
BoardWalk Villas are some of my favorite places to stay. I just love the energy of the Surrey bikes pedaling by, watching the
street performers on the boardwalk at night, and, of course, the proximity to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios!
It’s been a hot summer in Florida, so let’s chat about keeping things cold! I checked the
Walt Disney World Property Rules and chatted with a Cast Member, and electric ice chests are not currently on the list of prohibited items. However, the Cast Members, when you get to the BoardWalk will have the final say on whether items are allowed, for the safety of all guests.
If you’re staying in BoardWalk Villas (the Disney Vacation Club side of the resort), you’ll have a refrigerator in your room to keep items cold. And if you’re staying on the BoardWalk Inn side, you’ll typically have a beverage cooler unless you’re staying in a suite. Keep in mind that beverage coolers aren’t meant to store items that need refrigeration. If you need to keep medication cold, a Cast Member confirmed that the front desk can typically store medications that need refrigeration.
Speaking of staying cool, don’t forget that Disney resort hotel guests get
complimentary water park admission on check-in day this summer. It’s the practically perfect way to kick off your magical vacation!
Now, before I go, I’d love to share some of my must-dos at Disney’s BoardWalk. My family likes to rent a
Surrey bike or walk over to
Fantasia Gardens and Fairway Miniature Golf when we’re looking to take a break from the theme parks. For food, we often start the day with a quick breakfast from
BoardWalk Deli and eat it at one of the tables by the water (they accept
mobile orders, which is great for when they're busy in the morning!). We also love
Flying Fish for a delicious seafood dinner. And finally, one of my favorite nighttime spots is
AbracadaBar. Not only does this lounge have amazing cocktails, but it also has the coolest magician-themed vibes!
