MagicBands are an amazing perk that come in really handy, especially in the parks! Customizing MagicBands is also something I love to do, so I understand wanting to reuse them when you get them just right. Luckily, as long as your husband's MagicBand has been linked to his
My Disney Experience account, and has not been deactivated, he can still use it on your upcoming trip!
Once you link a MagicBand, it stays linked to the account unless you deactivate it. You can check the status of the MagicBand on My Disney Experience. On the website or on the app, just log in to the My Disney Experience account associated with the MagicBand, go to "My Account," and click on "MagicBands and Cards." On the website, this is where you will see all of your previous MagicBands listed, and next to each one, it will either say "Active" or "Inactive." On the app, after clicking on "MagicBands & Cards," you will need to click on "Your MagicBands & Cards" to view the status of each MagicBand. You can click on the MagicBand and change this status at any time. If the MagicBand he wants to use says "Active," you are good to go! If it says "Inactive," simply click on the MagicBand and change the status to "Active."
If you have not previously used a MagicBand and need to
link it to a My Disney Experience account, you will need to link the MagicBand using the ID Number on the underside of the band. You can do this on the app or on the website.
