Headed to WDW in December & want the Cinderella's Royal Table experience, but my 18 and 15-year olds won't eat from the adult menu. Will they be allowed to order from the children's menu? I'm more than ok with paying the adult rates.

    Hi Jenny!

It’s a wonderful feeling for planDisney Panelists when we see a Guest who returns to us over the years with more questions. Welcome back!

A dream is a wish your heart makes, Jenny, and it sounds like you are dreaming of happy teenagers! I have a few teens at my house so I know that keeping them fed, watered, and well-rested makes for a more pleasant vacation for everyone. Disney does do their very best to be accommodating Guests’ dining needs. In my experience, ordering adult portions of food from options on the children’s menu isn’t usually a problem. As you mentioned, you will still be charged the adult price, especially at locations that have a set price per person such as Cinderella’s Royal Table.

I also recommend you chat about your concerns with your server once you are seated. Sometimes they can work with you to change or substitute parts of the adult options to satisfy particular tastes by holding sauces or substituting sides. I know my teens may not be thrilled with mashed celery root, but they would enjoy mashed potatoes or buttered corn from the children’s menu. Usually, this is something that can be accommodated. Tell your teens not to worry, Cinderella won’t let them go hungry when they come to visit!

Wishing you a magical visit during the holidays to the Walt Disney World Resort, Jenny!
