We are headed to WDW for DD's 8th birthday in 3 weeks. She has a dairy allergy, but we want to get her a special cake at one of our TS meals. I know the chefs are great at accomodating regular food, but what about a special order cake? Any ideas?

    Hi Kelly,

You are exactly right about the chefs at Walt Disney World being accomodating to guests with allergies. My daughter, Nicole, is allergic to selfish, and the chefs just go out of the way to make sure she can enjoy her meals. They even walk with her at the buffets to point out what she can and cannot have plus they will make her something special if they are the slightest bit worried about a dish.

For your daughter's birthday cake, I would call the Disney Cake Hotline at 407-827-2253. Explain to the Castmember that you have a request and see what they can come up with.

Also, remember to mention your daughter's allergy when making your Advance Dining Reservations. This will just give the chefs a heads up that a special guest will be joining them for dinner.

    Here's to your celebration!
