We are headed for 1st trip to disney 4/8-4/16. (kids 6,4,2)We booked the corronada and after reading many posts & seeing some Youtube video of the new Caribben Resort, we really want to change. Would you recommend changing and is it even possible?

How exciting to be planning your first trip to Walt Disney World, Carina! I stayed at the Coronado Springs resort this past December and loved it. I was lucky enough to stay in one of the newly remodeled rooms, which was gorgeous, and included upgrades such as queen-sized beds and flat screen tv. That said, Coronado Springs is a huge resort, and if you think you'll be more comfortable at the Caribbean Beach, I would definitely try to change. As long as there is availability, there should be no problem with switching resorts.

In December, I also had the opportunity to tour the Caribbean Beach Resort, and it's fantastic. Rooms have been renovated, and if you're traveling with a pirate fan, you might want to consider upgrading to one of the newly designed Pirates of the Caribbean themed rooms. The newly re-done pool area has something for everyone, with two slides in the main pool and a zero-entry kiddie pool with its own slide and fountains.

Wishing you a fabulous vacation whichever resort you choose!
