We are headed to Orlando for couple days - was thinking of staying on property for 2 nights, which hotels are best for a group of 6 (4 adults and 2 little ones) want to stay together rather than separate rooms

Hi, Elizabeth!  You don't say how little the little ones are, but I will tell you that children under the age of three do not count towards room capacity.  Most resort rooms accommodate up to four people, with children under the age of two not counting toward those four people, so if your littles are REALLY little, you can really stay anywhere.

The deluxe resorts (The Contemporary, Polynesian Village, Grand Floridian, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Beach Club, Yacht Club, and Boardwalk Inn) can accommodate parties of five with children under the age of three not counting towards that capacity.  They'll offer more space, and a day bed for the fifth guest - perfect size for a child.

One of your best bets, if the children are both over three, is a family suite at Disney's Art of Animation resort.  These "suites" can accommodate up to six guests, with two full bathrooms and a kitchenette.  There's plenty of room to spread out, and the rooms are brightly decorated and great fun for kids.

If you're looking for a home away from home type experience, the Disney Vacation Club villas would be perfect.  A two bedroom villa will come with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, and separate sleeping areas, so the grown ups can enjoy a coffee in the morning or cocktail at night while the kids are still sleeping.  Another similar option would be the cabins at Fort Wilderness Campgrounds.

    Have a great time!
