We are headed on our first Disney Cruise at the end of February. On debarkment day we have a full afternoon before catching out flight home. We were thinking about heading to DownTown Disney for the day, what is the best way to get there from the airport?

    Hello Elizabeth,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question, and congratulations on your upcoming maiden voyage on the Disney Cruise Line!

If you're interested in traveling between Orlando International Airport (MCO) and the Downtown Disney Area, there are a few options that come to mind: cab, shuttle or local bus (LYNX).  All are available transportation options right there from MCO during the daytime hours.  Of these, I think the easiest and fastest would be to just catch a cab.  No advance reservation is needed and the price is similar to what you'd expect to pay for a small family on a shuttle.  The LYNX is the most affordable by far, but since the one-way travel time is estimated at 1 hour and 45 minutes, it doesn't seem like a viable option.  I found a page on the MCO website at http://www.orlandoairports.net/transport/local_transport.htm that might be helpful as you make your decision.

Happy sailing, Elizabeth!  Please let us know if you have any other questions before your vacation.
