Another ? Headed to DW in late June (SOG) with 4 day miltry tkts. Have AR for Akershus for b'fast. Will go to DD on arrival day. Sit down meals? Two very picky & active girls with small appetites. Would our time be better spent touring? Help!!!

    Hi Jennifer,

I am glad that the military can experience the Walt Disney World Resorts at the Shades of Green.

I personally like having a sit down meal each day. I like to use the time to plan and regroup how we are going to spend the day. It is also a great way to beat the heat.

My main rule of touring is to tour as close to your normal schedule as possible. I find my family does better when we are as close to our routine as possible. This does not mean we do not throw extra activities into our vacation, we just do not do this every day.

If you usually eat smaller meals at home, then perhaps you should stick to counter or quick service meals. You also can bring or pack your own snacks to help ease the hunger pains. If your daughters do not mine sitting for a table service meal, then look at the menus of restaurants you may want to dine at and determine if you can find something for your daughter's there. You will find most restaurants do have standard children favorites such as chicken nuggets, pasta and grilled cheese.

Akershus has a wonderful breakfast including fresh fruit and pastries to start. Plus there is eggs and french toast which is delicious. Plus who does not love princesses?

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
