Hi! Headed to DW with my family of 5 in Dec. Two younger daughters and a 14 y/o son. Would love some different ideas to make my teenage sons trip memorable. Would love some help! Thanks :)

    Hi, Leslie!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm excited to have the chance to answer your question.

Instead of guessing, I asked my 14-year-old son to offer some ideas for you. He recommends thrill seeking. He says your son should ride as many roller coasters as he can. (He ranks his favorites at Expedition Everest, Tower of Terror, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, and Splash Mountain.) If you are willing to let your son spend a little time in the parks on his own, my son recommends taking advantage of the single rider lines on some of the attractions across the parks.

If you can, he also recommends booking an amazing experience at Animal Kingdom Theme Park: The Wild Africa Trek. It's a one-of-a-kind experience! (And the food is pretty good, too!)

Speaking of food, my son recommends going to Chef Mickey's. He says it's "kind of childish" but it's fun and the buffet is "full of amazing desserts."

If those tips aren't enough, Disney World put together this great collection of ideas on how older kids can enjoy the parks.

I am excited for you to enjoy an unforgettable vacation at Walt Disney World Resort! Please let me know if I (or my son) can answer any additional questions!

Meet the Panelist: Jen, Missouri

I’m a mom, wife and goldendoodle dog owner who is not afraid to ride a fast roller coaster again and again. I love to travel - which is good since I telework with a job in Washington, DC. I’ve visited Disneyland and Walt Disney World multiple times and it’s fed into my belief that you’re never too old to have fun. I run when I can and recently earned my runDisney Coast to Coast medal! I also love photography and founded an online special needs community. Learn More About Jen
