Welcome, Bethany! Thanks for stopping by with your question.
It's so stinkin' exciting that you'll be in
Walt Disney World later this month! I'm sure you've put tons of time and effort into putting together an amazing plan, and I sure am hoping that everything from the weather to the wonder in your kids' eyes is practically perfect.
First the maybe not so great news. There's a good chance that now it's time to say goodbye to those
MagicBands. Although you
may be able to use the older MagicBands, the clock usually strikes midnight on them after about two years. The non-replaceable batteries can't be relied upon to work much longer than that.
But there is great news. You don't necessarily need MagicBands to get into the parks. As long as your theme park tickets are linked to your My Disney Experience account, you can use your phone to scan into the parks. You can also stop by
Guest Services at any of the theme parks to pick up cards that act as your theme park passes. They currently commemorate the
50th Anniversary Celebration, and they're pretty darned cute.
If there's anything else we can help with, Bethany, come on back and see us!
