Hi! We are headed to Disney World in May for 5 days. we have purchased tickets for 3 days, because we have an obligation 1 morning. But if we find we have that evening free can we buy mid day magic tickets the day of at our hotel? or at the park itself?

    Hi Crystal,

I'm excited to hear that you're planning another Disney adventure for next spring! You'll love experiencing some of the same magic and fun that you've enjoyed before, and I'm sure you'll discover some new favorites, too!

I love hearing that you might be able to squeeze in some extra theme park time during your vacation, and I have a solution for you that should be even better than purchasing an additional ticket! Since the Mid-Day Magic Tickets currently need to be purchased as multi-day tickets, upgrading your current ticket would be the more cost-effective way to go. Your three-day ticket may be upgraded to a four-day (or more, if you'd like!) ticket as long as it's within 14 days of your ticket's first use and there is still at least one theme park day remaining on it. To upgrade your ticket, you'll simply need to take your current ticket to a theme park ticket window, the Concierge desk at your Disney Resort hotel, or a Guest Relations location, and you'll be able to pay the difference between the current ticket you have and the only to which you'd like to upgrade. Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo! You'll be on your way to enjoying more theme park fun before you know it!

Just a note in case you do decide to purchase a second ticket...You'll want to make sure that you ask the Cast Member when you purchase your ticket to "stack it" appropriately within your My Disney Experience account. You wouldn't want to use a full day's theme park ticket on a day when you really only wanted to use a Mid-Day Magic Ticket, or vice versa, so you'll want to make sure the system pulls from the right ticket on the right day. That's one more reason that simply upgrading your current ticket would likely be the best way to go.

Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel again, Crystal, and please feel free to keep your great questions coming. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation next year!
