Hi there, Janella! Thank you so much for bringing this question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
As a mom to an almost 4-year-old myself, I know that we are always thinking about how to keep our little ones safe.
Janella, while your
MagicBand is connected to your information, I have spoken to several Cast Members who have told me that all information is encrypted, so they would not be able to get your phone number from your little one's MagicBand.
If a child ever
loses their parents, a Cast Member will take the child to the Baby Care Center located in each park, where they will be looked after until their parents arrive.
I would recommend that you write your number with a permanent marker on the inside of the band. You can then seal it with nail polish, or something similar as the marker may wear away on their skin throughout the day. Make sure that whatever modifications that you make are to the rubber band itself, and not near the RFID "puck" in the center of the band.
Janella, I would also recommend using a small clear plastic hair tie to wrap around your little ones' magic band once it is on. This way, if they are fiddling with the band, or if it does happen to pop off, it will still be loosely around their wrist.
I hope that this helped, Janella, and please come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if we can help as you plan your magical vacation. We hope to see you real soon!
