Hi, Lisa! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks so much for stopping by with your question! I love the convenience the
Disney Dining Plans afford my family. The last thing I want to worry about while flying on my Magic Carpet high above Adventureland is getting back to our Disney Vacation Club Villa to make dinner for my family. Well, that and doing laundry! With the various Disney Dining Plans, all we have to do is decide what kind of meal we would like and go for it.
Usually, any upgrades to your Disney Dining Plan would need to be completed three days in advance of check-in at the resort. While it is preferable to make all changes at least 30 days in advance when final payment is due, my advice to you is that it never hurts to
at least call and check to see if it can be done at this point, since your requested change is an upgrade, not a cancellation of the plan. If they are able to make the change for you, the total price for you will be dependant on several variables, such as the length of your trip and the ages of each guest. They would be able to give you a more accurate price when you discuss the upgrade. One thing to note is that if you booked your vacation with a travel agent or other third party, then you will need to contact them to make the change, rather than Disney Reservations Center. Also, your booking agent may have different requirement and deadlines for changes.
I am sending you lots of pixie dust for a magical vacation! Please let us know if you have any other last minute questions!
