Hi Nicole!
This year, a newly refurbished Star Tours in Hollywood Studios has opened. If your son is a fan of Star Wars you're definitely going to want to check that out! I haven't had the chance to ride it yet, but can't wait! If you and your son love adventures and animals, you might want to consider the
Wild Africa Trek which has opened in Animal Kingdom. This tour brings you up close with Hippos & Crocodiles and gives a great meal too!
As for dining experiences, the first two restaurants that immediately jump into my mind are The
Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater & the
50's Prime Time Cafe.
Both restaurants are located in Hollywood Studios. At the Sci-Fi
Dine-In Theater be sure to request to sit in a car. From your "vehicle"
you'll be able to watch clips of really good, bad sci-fi while enjoying
your meal. While dining at the 50's Prime Time Cafe you'll be
transported to Mom's kitchen, complete with cousins who might just scold
you for bad manners!
At Downtown Disney, two great dining options are
T-Rex and
Rainforest Cafe.
Both of these restaurants offer immersive dining experiences complete
with moving animals - dinosaurs, gorillas and more. A second Rainforest
Cafe location is at the entrance to Animal Kingdom.
If you're looking for something a little more exotic, be sure to check out
Restaurant Marrakesh
at the Morocco Pavillon in Epcot. Maybe you'll even be selected to take
part in some Belly Dancing lessons!
Hope this helps!
