    I am headed to a convention in April and am staying at a resort hotel. Will they give me a Magic Band there or should I purchase one on my own before heading down?

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.   Thank you so much for stopping in to ask a great question about your upcoming visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth.  It's my pleasure to help assist you today.

    If you have to go to a convention for work at least it is at the Walt Disney World Resort.  I can't think of a better place to work and play.  I hope you have a lovely visit.  If you stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel you will be able to order a complimentary MagicBand for your stay.  In order to receive your MagicBand you will need to log in or create a My Disney Experience account.  Once your account is created you will need to link your Disney Resort hotel reservation to your account.  Once this is done you can click on 'My MagicBands and Cards' and customize your MagicBand.   You must place your order 11 days before arrival if you want your MagicBand shipped to your home or 6 days before arrival if you would like to pick it up at your Resort.
