Hi Linda!
Congratulations on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World! Regardless of the amount of food eaten, adults are charged the adult price and children (under the age of 10) are charged the children's price, for all Disney dining locations.
You will love
Tusker House at Disney's Animal Kingdom. They offer many light options at breakfast, lunch and dinner, so you will have a variety from which to choose.
I have found the Disney restaurants extremely accommodating when it comes to ordering food that may or may not be on the menu. When I was at
Mama Melrose, at
Disney's Hollywood Studios, there was not a menu item for a Caesar Salad with grilled chicken, but they let me order this and even allowed me to leave off the croutons and dressing for a completely customized menu item. When you arrive, ask the server if you can order a child-sized portion of the chicken parmesan and I'm sure they can accommodate. Please note that you will be charged the same price as the adult-sized portion, but they can certainly bring you a smaller portion to meet your needs.
Magically,
Stacy
