Hi Karen and welcome to planDisney!
Your Walt Disney World vacation is coming up so soon! I'm sure you're getting really excited about your trip next week. The weather has been absolutely beautiful lately here in Florida, so I'm sure you're going to have a magical time.
Disney dining reservations open up 60 days in advance, so if you have a particular restaurant in mind, it might be difficult finding availability so close to your trip. You might have to be a little flexible with the restaurants you pick, but also keep checking for reservations if there is somewhere that you're really excited to try. Guests are constantly changing plans, so availability fluctuates pretty regularly and I often find luck getting reservations for popular restaurants in the week leading up to my trip and especially the day before. Don't give up! If you have the
My Disney Experience Mobile App, you can quickly search for reservations wherever you are. If I'm on the hunt for a particular restaurant, I check using the app all throughout the day, every day until I can snag something.
Need a suggestion for a great restaurant? If you have a
Magic Kingdom Park day planned, take a look at
Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen in Adventureland. I consider it a hidden gem and I can always find reservations there. All four of us in my family LOVE dining there, especially for the Pao de Queijo, which is Brazilian cheese bread. It is usually an off menu item, so you might have to ask for it. You won't be disappointed!
Please stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.
Have a magical day!
Leslie
