Hi Susan and welcome to planDisney!
Dining at Walt Disney World is one of my favorite things to do! There are so many fantastic restaurants at the theme parks,
Disney Resort hotels and Disney Springs, so it's hard to choose which ones to visit on each vacation.
In my opinion, the easiest way to search for Disney dining reservations is through the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. If you have this installed on your phone, great! If not, I suggest you do that ahead of time because it's the one-stop place for all the information you'll need when you're at Walt Disney World. To search for dining reservations, click the plus sign (+) on the bottom middle of the home page and then click on "Check Dining Availability". Next, you'll click on party size, date and time. All available restaurants will populate for you to choose from. You can further filter by location if you want to only look at
Magic Kingdom and
Disney Springs. If you would like to make your Disney dining reservations on a computer, hover over the tab at the top of the
Walt Disney World website that says "Things To Do" and then click on "
Make Reservations". Click on your party size, date and time to view availability.
If you have certain restaurants in mind and you don't see availability for them, don't panic! This is where having the mobile app comes in handy. When there is a restaurant I just have to get for a trip, I check often for cancelations. Guests are constantly changing their plans, so dining availability fluctuates daily. I'll pull up the app when I'm in car line at school or when I'm watching my daughter at cheer practice. Really, any time I think about it, I'll pop on and check to see if something opened up. I usually find that I can snag popular restaurants in the week leading up to my trip and even the day before or day of. Don't give up!
Please
stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.
Have a magical day!
