I am having a tough time deciding to stay at the Art of Animation Resort or Port Orleans French Quarter. My daughter would love to stay in the Little Mermaid room, but I am also traveling with my husband, son and my parents. Any suggestions?

Hello Becky!   You do have a tough decision to make, both Disney's Art of Animation Resort, and Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter resort are some of my families favorites. The theming at both resorts is out of this world! I  will do my best to help make the decision a little easier.

Get ready to go under the sea at  Disney's Art of Animation resort!  AOA is a LARGE resort with a mix of both family themed suites, and standard rooms (Little Mermaid rooms) that make up ten buildings in total.    They surround Animation Hall, and the Big Blue Pool. (The largest resort pool in Walt Disney World Resort.)   You can find a map and more information on the Art of Animation website. Keep in mind the standard rooms at this resort are in buildings 7, 8, and 9, the farthest from Animation Hall. With the number in your traveling party you would need to reserve two standards rooms, or you could all stay in one family suite!
Laissez les bons temps  rouler!  Let the good times roll at  Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter! Disney's smallest moderate resort, makes every room location easily  accessible to  both Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory Food Court, a mardi gras themed pool area with waterslide. Unlike Art of Animation which has two double beds, the Port Orleans French Quarter contains two queen beds in a room.  Downtown Disney is only a short boat ride away! You can find out more about this great resort at the Port Orleans French Quarter website.

Whatever resort you choose, I know you will have a magical vacation.   If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask
