We are having a hard time deciding between Spirit of Aloha & Hoop-Dee-Doo. Which is going to be more fun for a 7 year old boy? I have opinions from friends but now I'm even MORE confused about which one to do! Thanks so much!

I have been to both of these shows several times. If I had to pick for a 7 year old boy, I'd choose the Hoop Dee Doo with no hesitation at all. The Spirit of Aloha is a more "serious" show in my opinion. It don't find it as loose or fun or silly as the Hoop. The vast majority of the Aloha show is demonstrations of traditional Polynesian dances, lots and lots of variations on the hula. This is not normally tops on the lists of interests for young boys. (With teen boys it might be a different story ;-))

On the other hand, the Hoop Dee Doo is lots of silly fun with audience participation hootin' and hollerin'. There are puns and jokes that a 7 year old is the perfect age to really understand. He'll be laughing his head off at the end. And so will you.
