Welcome aboard, Joseph! It sounds like you are beginning to plan for an exciting Disney cruise aboard the beautiful Disney Fantasy! You have so much to look forward to!
Check out the
Fantasy's main page on the Disney Cruise Line website. Right under the picture slide show, you'll see three buttons: Slide Show, 360 Viewer and Deck Plan. Click on Deck Plan. There you'll see a model of the ship. On the right side, you can choose a deck. Then, hover over each stateroom to see the Stateroom number, type of room and category, as well as if it connects to another stateroom. This is a great way to find a room in the exact area of the ship that you prefer. While you can't click on each individual room, you'll also see markers with Mickey Mouse ears. These are examples of the category of stateroom, so click on the one corresponding to the category you're considering and you'll get more details.
Honestly, we've never had a "bad" stateroom on any of Disney's four ships, so as long as you know which type of stateroom you'd like and the area of the ship, you'll be all set. Do look at the decks above and below your chosen stateroom to see what areas are near you. If you have young children, you might want to be closer to the
Oceaneer's Club and Lab. If you're traveling with adults who enjoy the clubs, perhaps a spot closer to the
Europa Nightclub district. We love to stay in staterooms just a few doors down from the elevators, as it makes getting around very easy!
Have fun browsing, Joseph, and feel free to stop back with any other questions you might have!
