We are having our first cruise trip (with my husband, kids of 4 and 9) on the Disney Dream end of April 2013. I am overexcited with planning and searching for information. My question is when will the kids eat when we book a romantic dinner at the Palo?

Roraima, welcome aboard! I have been on many Disney cruises, and I still get that excited feeling each time I plan for the next one, so I completely understand how you're feeling!

I'm thrilled you're going to book a romantic dinner at Disney Cruise Line's Adult Exclusive Palo. It's sure to be an amazing meal for you. Be sure to have one of the hot chocolate souffles for dessert, they are the best!

Your children have a few dinner options while you are at Palo. Depending on what time your Palo reservation is, and what regular dining seating you have, you could join them for your regular seating, and just be with them as they eat. Then, they can go off to the Oceaneer's Club and Lab while you sneak away for your dinner. If timing doesn't work out for that, or you have the second seating for your regular dining, your best bet is to let the kids eat with their new friends in the Oceaneer's Club or Lab. Dinner in the Club and Lab is usually around 5:45. While it's not the same food they'd get in their regular dining rotation in the restaurants, they do offer some great kid friendly choices. Your kiddos would probably love to eat on their own there, then continue with the fun events the counselors have planned for them.

Finally, if neither of those options sounds right, you could always take them up to Cabanas buffet for a quick bite or order complimentary room service for them to enjoy in the room while you are getting dressed. Then, drop them off at the Club for some fantastic entertainment and activities, and head off to your romantic dinner knowing your kids are happily fed and having the time of their lives.

Have fun planning the rest of your cruise, Roraima! I'm very happy to help if you come up with any other questions before you set sail!
