We will be having a family trip 2 WDW 2 celebrate my parents 50th anniversary in Mar '10. There will be 12 of us total: 8 adults and 4 boys ages 16/6/4/1.5. Can you recommend a special restaurant that's also kid friendly for an anniversary dinner?

Hi, Deanna!  I think you'll find at Walt Disney World there are quite a few restaurants that fit the description of what you are looking for.  I've always found there to be such a great balance between restaurants adults would love and restaurants my kids won't hate.

One of our favorite restaurants is 'Ohana, where the adults can enjoy a lovely tropical atmosphere, delicious food served family style, and awesome cocktails.  Children also usually enjoy the family style meal, with the main course served right from the grill on long skewers, and the option to choose more of what they like!  In addition, there are usually some children's activities taking place here, like hula hoop spinning or coconut races, which go a long way to keep kids happy during dinner.  If you time it right, you might get to enjoy the Wishes fireworks from the Magic Kingdom as you dine.

Another wonderful restaurant option might be Sanaa at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge in the Kidani Village section.  We enjoyed two meals here on our last vacation, and the kids in the restaurant all really seemed to love the close proximity of the animals right outside the window as you eat!  My little one also got into the beat of the strolling musicians as they sang Happy Birthday to the restaurant guests.

You might also check into availability at Cinderella's Royal Table at the Magic Kingdom.  Dining in the castle would just add an elegant ring to the anniversary celebration!

I wish your parents a wonderful anniversary celebration!  Congratulations to them on reaching this wonderful milestone!
