    We are having dinner @ 8:45 pm on 11/12 @ Chef Mickey, MK closes at 8pm. What is the best/easiest way to get back to POFQ? How long would the return trip take via Disney transportation? If we take taxi any idea of cost and length of trip? Thanks!

    Welcome back to the Mom's Panel, Jennifer!  Chef Mickey's is one of my family's favorite Character Dining Experiences!  I'm so glad you included the date you will be dining at Chef Mickey's in your questions. I did a little investigating and it appears that Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party will be held at Magic Kingdom on November 12, 2012 from 7 p.m. to 12:00 midnight. You should definitely be able to utilize Disney's complimentary bus transportation from Magic Kingdom back to Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter Resort  following your dinner. I would recommend taking the short 10 minute walk from DIsney's Contemporary Resort to the bus stop at Magic Kingdom rather than taking the monorail from Disney's Contemporary Resort.  I would allow 45 minutes travel time if using DIsney transportation. If traveling by taxi, I would allow 15-20 minutes travel time. I called Mears taxi service just now to get an approximate cost for you and the customer service rep that spoke with informed me that the taxi would be metered, but to plan for the cab fare to be approximately $15.00 - $17.00 from Disney's Contemporary Resort to Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter Resort.
