If we are having dinner at 1900 Park Place at 6:10 pm, is there enough time to make it back to the Magic Kingdom for the parade/fireworks? I've heard that you can see it from the Grand Floridian - is it any good for a 3-and4-yr old from there?

    Tati,

Assuming you only take about an hour for dinner, you absolutely should be able to get back to the Magic Kingdom for the fireworks, assuming they are held at 8:00 pm.

To get back you simply walk up to the second floor of the resort and wait for the monorail. The ride from there is 10 minutes, tops, leaving you at the park entrance by 7:30 - 7:45 pm. So it can be close, but very doable.

If, however, you find yourself delayed during your evening plans, and getting back to the Magic Kingdom in time seems challenging, then consider watching from the resort. The beaches can offer a decent enough view to make it worthwhile. A basic rule of thumb is this: If you can see the Castle, you can see the fireworks. If you have time you could even walk to the beaches of the nearby Polynesian resort, where they pipe in the park soundtrack.

And yes, it is fine for a 3-4 year old from there. For kids who don't like the loud bangs it can be even better, with all the view and none of the noise.

    Have a magical vacation!
