Hi, I am having dinner in Boma on 04/28. I have 16 month old twins. They are no strangers to Disney We have been there several times, but we have never been to Boma. I not sure it is such a kid friendly location. What is the atmosphere Like?

    Hi, Judith!

Boma Flavors of Africa could not be a more kid friendly place in terms of the atmosphere. As a buffet, it tends not to be the most quiet place, but I think that's fantastic for little ones.

The restaurant is pretty large with lots of tables, and a very neat thatched roof and bamboo decor. There's plenty of room at the tables for high chairs or booster seats, and it's just a very casual, laid back kind of vibe when you dine there.

If you're worried about food, the buffet offers many options that even my pickiest kid was able to enjoy. The eclectic Boma menu always features multiple soup and salad offerings, some of which are very kid friendly. In addition, you'll also find more traditional kid favorites, like chicken nuggets and macaroni and cheese.

If you have time prior to dinner or in the evening after, take a walk out to the beautiful Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge savanna. The kids might enjoy seeing the animals as they roam freely across the African terrain, and you might even meet an animal specialist or African storyteller. This resort also hosts a Campfire in the evening, which is fun even with little ones. The campfires may feature characters, singing, or other kind of presentation, and 'smores kits are available for purchase. The campfire is usually followed by a movie - that may make it a great way to end the night with two little sleepy heads.

Enjoy a magical time with your little ones!
