Hello, haven't been to Walt Disney World in Orlando in some years. I was wondering what is the policy for use of the lighting line for disabilities?

Hiya, Pal, and welcome to planDisney! I'm absolutely thrilled you stopped by to ask me this fantastic question. Being part of this magical community means so much to me, and I truly appreciate helping fellow Guests like you.

How exciting that you're beginning to plan your Walt Disney World vacation...what an adventure you have ahead! I personally believe that the planning process is (almost) as fun as the trip itself. From dreaming up your perfect itinerary to discovering all the special details that make a Disney vacation unforgettable, there's so much joy in every step of the journey.

Disney is deeply committed to ensuring all Guests have an exceptional experience. With a wide range of thoughtful and innovative support services, they go above and beyond to make the magic accessible to everyone. It's just one of the many reasons my family continues to return year after year.

Walt Disney World offers several helpful programs and services designed to support Guests in accessing attraction queues in a way that works best for them. I highly recommend having a personalized conversation with Disney's Accessibility Services. It's a great way to learn more about what's available and figure out what might be the best fit for your visit.

One option to consider is to register for Disability Access Service (DAS). You can begin the process as soon as 60 days before your arrival by having a live video chat with a Cast Member. During the chat, they'll take the time to get to know your needs and walk you through any accommodations that could help to make your day at the parks even more magical.

For Guests with mobility disabilities, most attraction queues are wheelchair accessible. However, there are a few exceptions where Guests may be directed to an alternate entrance. For example, the queues for "it's a small world" in Magic Kingdom and Spaceship Earth in EPCOT do not accommodate wheelchairs or scooters in the standard queue, so Cast Members will guide you to an accessible entrance nearby.

I hope this information has been a helpful start for your vacation planning! If you have any other questions throughout your journey, you're always welcome as can be at planDisney!

    Magic Awaits,

    Kami
