I haven’t received my new ID yet, and have planned a trip to the park. Am I able to use the temporary paper ID as proof of a Southern California residence?

Greetings, Pebbles, thanks for stopping by planDisney!

It looks like your trip is just around the corner, and just in time to enjoy the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival! It's a great special offer when you're eligible for the SoCal Resident Ticket. I'm happy to share more insight about Southern California proof of residency with you.

In order to take advantage of the SoCal Resident Ticket Offer, guests must have a valid government-issued photo ID that shows proof of residency in zip codes 90000-93599. Unfortunately, a temporary paper ID will not suffice for valid proof. I'm sorry that is not the most magical response, especially if you've already made plans to visit on a specific date. However, if your dates are flexible, it would be best to schedule your visit once you get your new CA ID in the mail, unless you choose to purchase a regular admission ticket. As a reminder the SoCal Resident Ticket is valid through June 2, 2024.

Did you know that as a California resident you can purchase a Magic Key pass with monthly payments? You'd still need to show proof of residency and make sure that address is in your Disney account. You can check out the Magic Key Buying Guide to get the scoop on all the benefits and perks. Be sure to also review the Magic Key Calendar to ensure the dates you want to visit are available for reservation. There is quite a bit of magic happening in 2024, including the opening of Tiana's Bayou Adventure later this year. I am probably the most excited about that, along with the fall and winter holiday seasons! If you're able to visit in April, from April 5 to June 2, you can cross the galaxy during Star Wars Season of the Force at Disneyland Park. The Foodie Guide looks absolutely amazing!

Well, Pebbles, I'm so glad you stopped by and I hope that information helps provide some options in case your ID does not arrive in time. I am wishing you loads of pixie dust that you can visit the Happiest Place on Earth real soon! Please reach out again if you have any other questions!

    Magic awaits,
    Camille
