Ahoy Deann!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am so excited to hear that you are traveling to Norway and Iceland this summer onboard the
Disney Magic! It must be thrilling for you to be setting out overseas again. My family is heading to Europe for the first time this May and we are absolutely besides ourselves with excitement!
When cruising abroad and using Disney Cruise Line
Port Adventures, it is your choice to carry your passport off the ship. You are required to show some type of identification, so many choose to use their passport in this capacity to avoid any problems. I personally do take my family's passports with us when leaving the ship as I want this level of identification in the event of an emergency. I know that some travelers prefer not to carry their passports with them as they are concerned about losing them.
When planning our trip this summer, I found reviewing Disney Cruise Line's
Passports, Visas and Citizenship Documentation guidelines to be helpful to understand the requirements for our cruise. It appears you may need multiple entry visas for your Dover to Copenhagen itinerary depending on your nationality.
I also recommend you review the U.S. State Department's travel website for details on the requirements to enter and exit each country. With our ever changing global climate, these requirements are subject to change so it is a good idea to review them frequently prior to your sailing to ensure you are ready.
Enjoy making magical memories this summer, Deann! Sail back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any more questions you may have. Angie
