Aloha, Amy.
Welcome to planDisney! I’m so glad you stopped by to chat about your upcoming holiday to The Most Magical Place on Earth. 2023 may seem (Buzz) lightyears away, but it will be here before you know it.
Unfortunately, Walt Disney World Resort no longer mails out vacation planning DVDs to Guests, but everything you need to plan your magical vacation is available online. Start by deciding which Disney Resorts Collection hotel you want to stay at. The
planDisney Disney Resort Hotel Pocket Guides are a great resource to learn about what each Resort has to offer and will surely help you narrow down your choices.
Currently, the
UK-based Walt Disney Travel Company website only offers 7-day or 14-day theme park tickets, so you won’t be able to purchase a 2-day ticket quite yet. When you arrive in the United States of America, you will be able to access the US-based Walt Disney World Resort website (
www.DisneyWorld.Disney.go.com) and purchase tickets for shorter lengths of time there. Alternatively, you can purchase your ticket at any ticketing window at the theme parks. Once you’ve purchased and linked your ticket to your
My Disney Experience account, you will immediately need to make
Disney Park Pass reservations.
You can also start dreaming about which restaurants you want to dine at, explore the attractions at each park, and see what
Character Experiences are available. The best tip I can give you is to get to know the
My Disney Experience mobile app inside and out. It’s truly your key to the kingdom and will have everything you need to map out the magical details of your trip.
Amy, I’m sorry I didn’t have better news to share, but I hope this helps you get started on planning your whirlwind getaway. As more questions arise, be sure to stop back by and let us know. We are here and eager to help!
You are the magic,
Alyssa
