I haven’t been to Disney World since 1999 I am going in February for 6 days with my 24 yr old and mom. Trying to make dinner reservations and at a loss. Didn’t realize everything had to be booked 180 days in advance when I only booked this trip last month

Hi Donna! Thanks for submitting your question to us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I see that you booked a Walt Disney World Resort vacation with just a short period before your arrival time and now you are having trouble with Advanced Dining Reservations. I have a few thoughts for you. First, your trip starts over a holiday weekend-you arrive just before Presidents' Day. This can sometimes draw larger crowds to the parks due to the three-day weekend. However, don't despair!

My family often takes last-minute trips, as we are locals on the Space Coast of Florida and Annual Passholders.  I have found that if I keep trying, I can often find reservations at some wonderful restaurants at the last minute, even a day or two prior to our visit.

My suggestions are to download the My Disney Experience Mobile App to your smartphone if you haven't done that already. You can search for open Advanced Dining Reservations at any time using this app. The app also includes menus for restaurants and has Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering from multiple locations throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. Check back early and often to see if your restaurant of choice has availability, even in the days prior to your departure. People change their plans often, get sick or otherwise cancel their vacations at the last minute. Any of these things can open up dining reservations.

Lastly, if there's a place that you really want to go but cannot seem to find a reservation, go to the check-in at your restaurant of choice and ask if they have any availability for that day.

Donna, wishing you the best of luck and a wonderful vacation!

    Best Wishes,
    Amy S.
