Hi haven't been to Disney springs since before it was Downtown Disney. 1st day having dinner at Rainforest Café and wondering any tips on what to do down there and what not to miss. 2 adults and 9yr old grand daughter. Thank you for all help :)

    Hi Stacey!

I'm so happy to welcome you back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I can't wait to help you plan (and, perhaps, re-plan) some magical trip ideas for your vacation!

You're in for a treat at Disney Springs! With all of the enhancements and additions, you won't believe that it is the same place as it used to be. It has been transformed from a place that our family adds to our must-do list every vacation!

It sounds as if you are off to a great start with dinner at The Rainforest Cafe! My kids - ok, ME! - always rated this as the best place to have dinner at Disney Springs. Dining inside a volcano, surrounded by tropical wildlife, is just so much fun. While you're in the vicinity of the restaurant, be sure to check out the Marketplace Co-op. This collection of stores is home to some of the most unique Disney shops you'll ever find. With a selection of housewares to posters and art to magical clothing, you're sure to find a one-of-a-kind souvenir. But - beware - many of these items are not available in other locations, so be sure to scoop up anything you fall in love with before you leave.

If you have any room for dessert after your delicious meal, swing by Amorette's Patisserie for an over-the-top treat. For an extra special, hands-on treat, check out their Cake Decorating Experience. There you'll be able to try your hand at creating a custom Character Dome Cake. Usually, the class creates a Mickey Ears cake that the whole family can share but they also offer Artist's Choice cakes as well.

While you are at Disney Springs, swing by T-Rex Restaurant as well. While you may not be able to fit in another bite, be sure to check out the prehistoric creatures and dinosaurs. For a cuddly treat, Build-A-Dino by Build-A-Bear will fill your granddaughters heart with love and affection! Located inside T-Rex, it is definitely worth the stop!

Last, but not least, for a really magical way to wrap up the night surprise your family with a performance of Drawn to Life Presented by Cirque du Soleil. This brand-new spectacular will be launching at Disney Springs this Spring and promises to WOW audiences just like all of Cirque du Soleil's acrobatic and musical mastery.

I hope gives you some wonderful ideas to incorporate into your vacation!
