We haven't been to Disney in December in many years. Thinking of going 12/14-21. How will the crowds be during this week? We have been there the week prior but we'd like to take advantage of free dining. Are we cutting it too close to Christmas? Thanks!

    Hello Dawn,

It's true anytime is a great time to go to Walt Disney World but visiting during a time when there are fewer crowds is just plain "Magical."  The Walt Disney World resort, during Christmas time, is a wonderful time to visit and enjoy the special events, decorations and jolly holiday festivities with your family and when it comes to planning, I like to check out some of the non-Disney websites crowd prediction calendars. My favorite is touringplans.com, I use their site to help guide me in my decision of when to book and even how best to plan out my vacation.

Visiting Walt Disney World right after the Thanksgiving holiday and before the start of the Christmas holiday are wonderful times to book your stay. You will find the couple of days before Christmas brings the onset of more crowds but if your are leaving by December 21st, I think you will be pleasantly surprised and happy with your decision.

If you need any further pixie dusted assistance feel free to ask and enjoy planning your upcoming stay at Walt Disney World.

Meet the Panelist: Amy, Virginia

I am a Dreamer who has always believed dreams are meant to be the path to your future. Walt Disney, I believe, felt the same way, "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." Disney has always been proof that endless imagination and the passion to make them come to fruition is possible. I will never be to old for Disney, it is home to all of us Dreamers.
