We haven’t been to Animal Kingdom since 2003. I’m not very familiar with it. Do they have parades like Magic Kingdom? I saw something about Festival of Lights, is that the tree of life? That has a show like the castle at night? Do you need special seating?

Jambo Stacy and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

There are so many new things to discover at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park! Parades take a more interactive turn at this park, with streetmosphere offerings like the Viva Gaia Street Band and the Discovery Island Carnivale, where you and your family can move to the music while enjoying a street party style show that looks and sounds like you’re on a Caribbean island!

The Tree of Life is the centerpiece of this nature-themed park. At night, flickering fireflies and animal shapes carved into the trunk will light-up every 10 minutes. It’s a sight you won’t want to miss!

The Rivers of Light show is a separate experience that happens at the Discovery River. Here eastern festival traditions combine with Disney Imagineer technology, live music and floating set pieces for a spectacular 15-minute show. There is stadium style seating available for this show, so if you want to reserve a seat, you may want to arrive at least 30-45 minutes before it begins. You can check for showtimes on your My Disney Experience app or the park schedule.

Pandora- World of Avatar is a beautiful sight to see at night. The Na’vi River Journey gives you an in-depth view of the bioluminescent rainforest in the Valley of Mo’ara. It’s a peaceful attraction that everyone in your party can appreciate!

Stacy, I hope you and your family enjoy your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. Thanks for stopping by!
