    Hi, I haven’t been able to make a reservation at the Blue Bayou but that’s ok, I know it’s a very popular place but my family and I love their Monte Cristo and wondered if we can order it to go and eat it elsewhere in the park?

    Hi Eleanor, and welcome to planDisney! We are so excited you plan on visiting Disneyland Resort in a few weeks, and we are here to help you with your question. You've got a friend in me!

    Blue Bayou Restaurant within Orleans Square at Disneyland Park is home to some incredible dishes, including the famous Monte Cristo sandwich, and Chicken Jambalaya, but the coolest part (in my opinion!) about this restaurant is watching the boats from the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction float by. I understand the feeling of frustration of not being able to book a restaurant you want to dine in, but fortunately, I was informed by some friends of mine (on the other side!) within Orleans Square (thanks Dr. Facilier!) that the Monte Cristo sandwich is also at the Cafe Orleans restaurant. Fun fact, the espresso machine that made Walt Disney his favorite coffee is also housed here! If you are a coffee and Walt fan, this restaurant is for you! 

    Eleanor, have the most magical visit to Disneyland Resort in a few weeks. May it be filled with all the magic and pixie dust!
