Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Melanie!
My family and I love staying at different Walt Disney World Resorts, as each one offers such a unique experience. I'm so thrilled to hear that you've chosen to stay at Disney's
Grand Floridian for the very first time on this trip.
As you probably know, Grand Floridian is such a gorgeous resort, and I love that it's just one
Monorail stop away from Magic Kingdom! When my family and I last stayed at Grand Floridian, there were so many fun
activities for our kids to enjoy at the resort when we were taking a break from our days in the parks. The kids loved doing the arts and crafts that were offered each day. Of course, there are also plenty of activities going on at the pool daily too! Water balloon games and other poolside game challenges were super fun when we were there, and we always like to participate in the Disney trivia when that is offered too! As you mentioned, there are also
Movies Under the Stars on certain nights next to the Courtyard Pool. Roasting marshmallows at the campfire each night is also a hit, and usually there are lawn games that take place nightly before the campfires too, which is always a fun family activity.
When you arrive at the Grand Floridian and check in, you'll get that week's schedule of Resort Experiences, most of which are included in the cost, but it'll offer some extras that do carry an additional fee too. Check those out too because sometimes there are some really great ones that you just can't pass up!
Have a magical vacation, Melanie!
