Surf's up, Gregory! Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for this righteous question. I'm a fan of the Beach Boys, too, so let's have fun, fun, fun and talk about how you can catch their show on your upcoming
EPCOT visit.
The
Eat to the Beat Concert Series is one of my favorite parts of the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. There are a couple of ways to see the shows at America Gardens Theatre, and it sounds like you're hoping for the reserved seating option. I like how you plan, Gregory!
I suspect you booked a regular spot at
Le Cellier Steakhouse for lunch. While this is a delicious choice, a standard reservation doesn't guarantee seating for the concert that evening.
When you book, be sure to look for the Eat to the Beat
Concert Dining Package. You can search for that title on the Walt Disney World Resort website or in your mobile app to view available restaurants and times. You'll also select which performance you'd like tickets for. If you didn't do those steps during the booking process, you probably booked a regular lunch.
If this is the case, and you're able to book a new dining package, don't forget to cancel your current reservation to avoid no-show fees. You can find details for
modifying and canceling meals on this page, and near the bottom is a phone number you can call for assistance.
Here's how the dining package will work: after you pay the bill for your meal, your server will bring a ticket for each member of your party. About half an hour before the show, you'll present that ticket at the special Dining Package entrance to the theater, where you'll be directed to the rows closest to the stage. Best seats in the house!
I was hoping to snag a dining package to see the Beach Boys, too, but I couldn't find any available times for the restaurant I was hoping for. Those surfer dudes are a hot ticket! If you find you have the same problem, you can try for a day-of dining package at
Regal Eagle Smokehouse. My tip is to be at the restaurant an hour or so before they open. The first guests in line can request tickets to that day's concert with the purchase of a quick-service lunch.
Finally, you can also hop in the stand-by queue for any of the three Beach Boys shows. I recommend getting in line at least an hour beforehand if you want to be guaranteed a good seat. If I'm with other guests, we'll take turns holding our spot for bathroom and snack breaks. The time goes by pretty quickly!
Gregory, I hope you enjoy surfin' USA-style on your upcoming vacation. Please reach out to
planDisney with any additional planning questions; we'll never take the T-Bird away!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
