What happens if we are sick and cannot attend our cruise? Will we be eligible for a refund (just putting action in to place as a just in case)

    Welcome back to planDisney, Tara!

With all the planning that goes into a Disney Cruise Line vacation, I understand your desire to be like a good ship captain and plan for the best and prepare for the worst. While I’m hoping you will have nothing but smooth sailing leading up to your cruise, let’s talk about what you should do if there happen to be some rough waters ahead.

Now, should a member of your party test positive for COVID-19 within 10 days of your sail date, you can apply your cruise fare toward a future sail date or receive a refund in your original form of payment without Disney-imposed cancellation fees. In this instance, you should contact a member of the Disney Cruise Line reservation team for assistance at (866) 325-6685 or (407) 566-7797.

If you are unable to sail for another reason, you can cancel your reservation online by following a few easy steps: Sign in to your Disney account via My Reservations and select “Modify Reservation.” From the Modify Reservation page, select the reservation you would like to modify. You can change your sail date, edit your travel party, modify your stateroom or cancel your reservation.

Tara, cancellation fees may apply in certain situations. Please call the Disney Cruise Line Contact Center at (800) 951-3532 for assistance with reservations that have been paid in full, made with a Future Cruise Credit, or booked under a restricted rate or the Concierge category. I encourage you to read the Terms and Conditions of your Disney Cruise for the specific details of a variety of aspects relating to ticketing and cancellation.

Please note that if you booked through a Travel Agency, you would need to contact the agency, rather than Disney Cruise Line directly, in order to cancel or modify your cruise vacation.

Speaking of preparing for the worst, I recommend that you consider purchasing the Disney Cruise Line Vacation Protection Plan. This plan provides travel assistance and reimbursement for a variety of expenses such as medical emergencies, trip cancellations and more.

Tara, let’s hope that you won’t need to use any of this information and that your special Disney Magic at Sea holiday will be filled with wonder aboard the Disney Wonder! Please sail back by if you have any other questions as you prepare for your cruise.

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Shannon
