Ahoy Kelly!
Welcome to planDisney! As Moana would say: “See that line where the sky meets the sea? It calls me.” Sounds like you heard that call too, and made the decision to book a Disney cruise. Sorry that the recent cancellations have deferred your travel plans, but we can get you steered in the right direction to having new reservations. It's how we roll!
I can tell from your question that you are a
Disney Vacation Club member. So sought the advice of my fellow
planDisney panelist Angie since she’s a Disney Vacation Club guru! The bottom line: Your best bet is to contact Member Services to determine your options as the policies for expiring Reservation and Vacation Points have changed.
The good news is that Disney Vacation Club members with cancelled Disney Cruise Line voyages can choose between a full refund, rebooking a new cruise with an additional credit, or the option to “park” their cruise for a later date. Disney knows that given these unpredictable times, it’s good to offer more flexibility. So this is a modification of the temporary policies regarding expiring Points. Talking to
Disney Vacation Club Member Services will be the surefire way to know the full scope of your options and to get another vacation date on the calendar.
I hope that you consider rebooking your Disney cruise because there’s
something for everyone to enjoy, and it would be fun to mix things up with a different kind of Disney vacation. But that’s entirely up to you!
To quote Maui, “You’re welcome” to come back to planDisney anytime with your planning questions. We like to think that “we know the way” when it comes to Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line and Disney Vacation Club...but if we don’t know the answer, we can research it for you!
